Lucknow: The body of a businessman was found in a hotel room in Krishna Nagar area of Lucknow, where he was staying with his girlfriend. The businessman has been identified as Santosh Singh, who used to supply building materials. Meanwhile, after the incident, his girlfriend Manju Singh, fled from the spot. Santosh Singh's family has accused Manju of blackmailing and murder.
What is the matter? Santosh Singh, who lived in the Eldeco Raksha Khand area of PGI police station area of Lucknow, had checked in to Hotel Sonam Inn in Krishna Nagar on Friday with Manju Singh, a resident of Unnao. It is being told that Manju left the hotel at 10:40 am, but when the hotel manager went to the room at 11:30 am, he found Santosh Singh dead.
Family's allegations Santosh Singh's wife, Krishna, has alleged that Manju and her family had blackmailed her husband and extorted lakhs of rupees from him. She also said that Manju killed her husband for fear of not being able to return the money. Police have registered a case and have taken Manju into custody from Unnao and started questioning her.
Police investigation Police have started investigating the hotel's CCTV footage and call details. DCP South Keshav Kumar said that the case is being investigated from every angle, and appropriate action will be taken based on the evidence.
