Mumbai: A 55-year-old guitar teacher has been arrested from by Mumbai Police on Monday. He is accused of sexually abusing a minor girl. The accused has been identified as Bharat Panchal alias Raju. He is accused of sexually abusing the victim's home between 2007 and 2010. The police officer said that the accused used to come to his house in Andheri to teach him music. She was nine years old when the accused started exploiting the victim. Later when she was 12, she moved to America for further studies. The police officer said that the victim is now studying in a US college and reached Mumbai on Sunday. He has lodged an FIR against the accused. After recording her statement, the Oshiwara police arrested Panchal. The victim says that during the music class, the accused used to sexually abuse her and use obscene language. Police said, "We have arrested the accused teacher under sections 354, 509 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code." Dayanand Bangar, senior inspector at Oshiwara police station, said, "This is an old case of crime between 2007 and 2010 before the victim went to America." Another police officer said that we are trying to find out whether the accused has also exploited other students.
