NEW DELHI: After slamming Open Artificial Intelligence's ChatGPT, Twitter CEO Elon Musk is now working on "TruthGPT," a ChatGPT alternative that will act as a "maximum truth-seeking Artificial Intelligence." In an interview with Fox News, Musk said that an alternative approach to Artificial Intelligence creation is needed to "avoid the destruction of humanity". "I am going to kick start something which I call 'TruthGPT' or a maximum truth-seeking Artificial Intelligence that tries to understand the nature of the universe," Elon Musk was quoted as saying. "Further I think this might be the best path to safety in the sense that an Artificial Intelligence that cares about understanding the universe is unlikely to annihilate humans because we are an interesting part of the universe," Elon Muskadded. In February, the Twitter CEO for the first time tweeted that what we need is a "TruthGPT." The development comes as the billionaire has created a new entity called X.AI which will promote artificial intelligence in the ChatGPT era. Musk aims to create an artificial intelligence firm to take on Microsoft-backed OpenAI. In recent months, ChatGPT and GPT-4 have become a rage worldwide. According to a filing, the firm, which is incorporated in Nevada, Texas, lists Musk as its only director and Jared Birchall, the director of Musk's family office, as its secretary. In an open letter published in March, a number of leading businessmen and AI researchers, (among them Elon Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak), asked all artificial intelligence labs to immediately stop training any AI systems more potent than GPT-4 for at least six months.
