Ujjain: There will be a complete ban on carrying phones in the Mahakal temple of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh from December 20. This decision has been taken in the meeting of the Mahakal Temple Management Committee. For some time, there has been a situation of controversy due to making videos and reels from mobile in Mahakal temple.  

A meeting of the Mahakal Temple Management Committee was held at Mahakal Temple on Monday under the chairmanship of Ujjain District Magistrate Ashish Singh. Many decisions were taken. The most important decision was taken regarding the mobile ban in Mahakal temple. Giving news after the meeting, Collector Ashish Singh said that for some time, complaints were being received in the temple premises about making videos and reels from mobile.

In view of this, it has been decided that from December 20, there will be a complete ban on mobile in the entire Mahakal temple complex. Nowadays everyone has a mobile phone. In such a situation, lockers will be built on the temple premises. Here devotees will be able to keep their mobiles before entering the temple. Its token will be given to them. In the meeting of the managing committee, it has been decided that the prices of laddu prasad available in Mahakal temple should also be increased. The prices of laddu prasad have been increased by Rs 60. Now devotees coming to Mahakal temple will have to pay Rs 360 for 1 kg laddu prasad. At present, its price is Rs 300 per kg.
