Patna: A team led by Muzaffarpur DIG Anil Kumar and IG Sunil Kumar on Saturday found a secret staircase at the state run shelter home which recently has been witnessed in the rape of 34 minor girls who were inmates at the shelter home. This latest expose has led police officials to believe that dinner served to the girls each night may have been spiked with sedatives so that accused could rape the minor girls. Brajesh Thakur who is Newspaper baron and NGO Sewa Sankalp aur Vikas Samiti owner, is prime accused in the case. Currently, He is under arrest and has been hospitalized after he complained of chest pain. Thakur along with ten others are allegedly involved in sexual abuse of inmates at the 'Balika Graha' home. Worth mention here Investigating officers also found a room which is a full of medical equipment inside the government-aided shelter home in Muzaffarpur. There have also been rumours that the victims impregnate owing to rape may have undergone abortion within the premises. This development gave another shocker after medical examination confirmed that 34 out of the 44 minor girls rescued from the shelter who were raped.
