Two bike riders fired at the mayor of Nagpur, police searching for accused

Two motorcycle-borne people opened fire on Wardha Road in the car of Maharashtra Mayor Nagpur, Sandeep Joshi. He narrowly survived the attack. The officer said that Joshi has not suffered any injuries. He immediately stopped the car and informed the police about the incident. He said that the security personnel of Belthara Road Police Station immediately reached the spot and collected evidence. Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kadam also reached the spot late at night. Police are watching CCTV footage of the area and trying to identify the registered bike number of the attackers, the officer said, adding that both the accused wore helmets and the person sitting behind a shot at the mayor's vehicle. He told that a case has been registered in this regard.
