Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a meeting of his council of ministers take stock of their performance.
According to sources, the decisions taken by the cabinet and the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs in the last two years, PM will be reviewing the progress about the decisions.
A government official spoke “It is a stock taking exercise to see how many decisions taken by the cabinet have actually been implemented by the respective ministries”.
Another official said, “There is a general perception that a gap exists between what was promised by the NDA government and the actual delivery of services.”
The similar meeting was held in January where a Modi govt. made detailed presentation on all the cabinet decisions taken.
