New Delhi: On Thursday, Navtej Sarna was appointed as the next Ambassador to the US as the Country plans for a presidential transition.
According to the statement of an External Affairs Ministry, “Navtej Singh Sarna (IFS: 1980) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the United State of America”.
"He is expected to take up the assignment shortly," it added.
Sarna will take the charges of Arun Kumar Singh, who retired last month. Navtej Sarna and Singh are former Indian ambassadors to Israel.
