Nawazuddin Siddiqui makes his debut in web-series

Raees movie cop Nawazuddin Siddiqui is going places! The highly talented actor who belly laugh us with some excellent presentation over the year, is now making his debut in the digital medium (if you count out his short films) with his first international series, McMafia. The BBC produced series, that began airing on the channel from January 1 this year, will soon start streaming on Amazon Prime and has Nawazuddin Siddiqui play Dilly Mahmood, a vile and corrupt Indian importer.

 

 

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, himself, had disclosed the first look of his character on Twitter a few hours back and it is certainly intriguing. He had tweeted, "#McMafia being my first International Web Series has come out really amazing. All Thanx to Director #JamesWatkins@JgiNorton @AmazonVideoIN"

As per a report in The Quint, McMafia is an eight-part series, said to be inspired by Misha Glenny's non-fiction book titled McMafia: A Journey Through the Global Criminal Underworld.  The show has been created by Hossein Amini and James Watkins. James Norton of War & Peace fame plays the lead in the show that has been shot in London, Tel Aviv, Moscow and Mumbai. Here's the trailer
