Sharad Pawar to observe fast in support of suspended MPs

Mumbai: Former Union Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (RKP) Chief Sharad Pawar has supported the dharna of the Rajya Sabha MPs. Pawar said that he himself will fast. He said that the voice of opponents was not heard in the house. The central government quickly approved this bill. There was doubt in the mind of the people of the opposing party, but it was not resolved. When the rule was not abolished, some people took such a step.

Pawar further said that, what happened in the Upper House in Parliament was never seen before. I could not go there because a meeting is being held on Maratha reservation. The Chairman should have listened to everyone. Members took this step against the bill passed in this manner. He said that I have been in politics for 50 years but have not seen such role of presiding officer. I will also renounce food and the members have their support for the renunciation.

Sharad Pawar said, 'The Deputy Chairman acted without giving importance to the rule, in response to which the MPs are agitating near Gandhiji's statue'. At the same time, suspended MPs ended their sit-in in the Parliament House complex after the Congress and several other opposition parties decided to boycott the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha in the remaining period of the current monsoon session on Tuesday.
