Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sanjay Shinde's car was scorched and he died due to a fire on Tuesday evening. At the time of the fire in Sanjay's car, he was near the Pimpgaon Baswant Toll plaza on the Mumbai-Agra highway. The reason behind the fire in the car is being termed as a short circuit. Sanjay Shinde, a grape exporter from Nasik district, was reportedly on the way to Pimpgaon to buy pesticides for his orchard. This accident took off near the overbridge of the Kadwa River. According to media reports, the fire erupted in the car due to a short circuit. The hand sanitizer kept inside the car causing the fire to take a severe form. Shinde began to try to open the door of the car and break the window, but could not succeed. In the meantime, the fire spread further, causing them to die. After the car fire, local people also rushed to the spot and tried to save Shinde. They also informed the fire brigade. Later, the fire could be controlled. Thereafter, the deceased person could be identified as NCP leader Sanjay Shinde.
