According to the information received, where railway officials say that winter is more common in North India, due to which special vigilance has to be taken. The ultrasonic flow testing machine (USFD) is being used to detect the internal damage of the tracks. The same tracks are checked with this machine every 3 months. Automatic signaling systems also help identify such flaws. In spite of all this, railway personnel such as track man, key man, gangman, who supervise the rail tracks have an important role. Wherever he checks the tracks regularly especially late at night and in the morning, assures safe rail operations.
