The counting of votes for the presidential elections began today at 11 a.m. at the Parliament House and with the result, the India has its 14th President of India. The final result is finally declared. The NDA’s nominee, Ramnath Kovind was leading over Congress-backed Meira Kumar in the first round of counting of votes. As per the latest trends, NDA’s nominee Ram Nath Kovind won with the 702644 votes. The Opposition’s pick, Meira Kumar got only 367314 votes. Ram Nath Kovind is the second Dalit President of India after K R Narayanan. The current President of India Pranab Mukherjee tenure will end on July 24.
