In fact, through his letter, he has demanded a ban on pornography being spread in the society through Bhojpuri films and songs. You must be aware that Ravi Kishan himself has appeared in obscene songs but now he is demanding a ban on it. This is not the first time that he has made this demand, but he has made such a demand before. Ravi Kishan, who has been associated with the Bhojpuri film industry for more than three decades, has been constantly making efforts for the upliftment of Bhojpuri after becoming an MP. Let us tell all of you that he is the only MP in the Lok Sabha on whose behalf he has also introduced a Private Member's Bill in Parliament to make Bhojpuri a place in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

Talking about the letter written by Ravi Kishan, the letter mentions that "Many films have been made in Bhojpuri language, but in the last few decades, the level of Bhojpuri film and especially its songs has declined considerably. Today's Bhojpuri films and songs have become synonymous with pornography, which is a matter of serious concern. This is adversely affecting the soft mind and mind of the younger generation, so there is an urgent need to curb the vulgarity of Bhojpuri films and songs".
