Nepal's Communist Party meeting postponed

New Delhi: The meeting of the standing committee of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal has been postponed, in which PM K.P. Sharma Oli's future was to be decided. According to the official announcement, the meeting has been postponed till Monday. Surya Thapa, the press advisor to PM Modi, said that the veteran leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) need more time to agree on pending issues, so the meeting has been postponed till Monday.

The important meeting of the 45-member standing committee of the party was scheduled to take place on Saturday. Top NCP leaders have demanded Oli's resignation due to his anti-India statement. He says that the anti-India comments are "neither politically correct nor diplomatically appropriate". Veteran leaders and members of his own party have pitted themselves against PM Oli. He believes that commenting against India and saying that a conspiracy is being hatched to remove him from his post is highly wrong. Oli was strongly criticized by the party's executive head Pushp Kumar Dahal Prachanda in this regard.

Not only this, due to Oli's decisions, many ministers of his government also turned against him and party MPs also criticized him. Experts believe that KP Oli has come under the influence of China. He opened a front against India when provoked by China. Three regions of India were included in his map and got it passed in Parliament.
