Kathmandu: In a deeply distressing development, seven Nepali students who were pursuing their education at an Israeli university have sustained injuries and are currently being held captive amidst relentless terrorist attacks by Hamas forces, as confirmed by Nepal's Ambassador to Israel, Kanta Rijal. These students were part of the "Learn and Earn" program initiated by the Israeli government, and they were based in Harzliya. Ambassador Kanta Rijal expressed his grave concern over the situation, stating, "They have been held in captivity by Hamas terrorists along with an additional 10 Nepali students at the agricultural farm in Southern Israel's Alumim." Efforts have been made to inform Israel's foreign ministry and mobilize rescue teams to address this critical issue. The students have been alerted about the situation, but the challenging circumstances in the area have made access difficult. They are currently seeking refuge in their hostel, attempting to shield themselves from the ongoing terrorist attacks. This alarming development has transpired amidst escalating tensions in the region, with reports of casualties on both sides. Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has declared that his country is "at war" against these terrorists and has ordered the mobilization of reserves, emphasizing the determination to emerge victorious. "We are at war, not in an operation or in rounds, but at war. This morning, Hamas terrorists launched a murderous surprise attack against the State of Israel and its citizens. We have been in this since the early morning hours. I convened the heads of the security establishment and ordered, first of all, to clear out the communities that have been infiltrated by terrorists. This currently is being carried out," stated Prime Minister Netanyahu. He continued, "At the same time, I have ordered an extensive mobilization of reserves and that we return fire of a magnitude that the terrorist enemy has not known. The enemy will pay an unprecedented price. In the meantime, I call on the citizens of Israel to strictly adhere to the directives of the IDF and Home Front Command. We are at war against these terrorists, and we will win it." The situation remains highly fluid, and international efforts are underway to address the crisis and ensure the safety and well-being of all those affected by the terrorist attacks.
