Netanyahu's Wake-Up Call: Terrorism Threatens Europe's Peace

Jerusalem: Amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a stern warning to Western countries, suggesting that Europe could be the next target of extremist aggression. Netanyahu framed the current war against Hamas as a battle between civilization and barbarism and stressed that this struggle is of global significance. He made these remarks during a meeting with ambassadors from 80 countries in Tel Aviv, Israel's capital.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is engaged in a broader global fight against the "axis of terrorism" led by Iran, and he believes that the outcome of this conflict has far-reaching implications. He stated, "If the Middle East falls in this battle of the axes, Europe will be next."

The Prime Minister emphasized that the ongoing conflict is not a localized issue but a global one. He asserted, "This is not a local fight; this is a global fight. The most urgent need at this moment is to defeat this axis." Netanyahu expressed Israel's commitment to defeating Hamas, eliminating the threat it poses, and securing victory in this battle. He urged civilized nations to support these efforts, emphasizing that this battle is not just Israel's but also belongs to the international community. He stated, "We believe that all civilized powers should support us in this effort because this battle is your battle, and our victory is your victory."

Netanyahu also highlighted the intentions of extremist groups within the "axis of terrorism," stating, "They want to return the Middle East and the world to the Dark Ages. They want to derail any progress toward peace and the progress that has been made in our new peace treaties with our Arab neighbors. But we want to give the people of Gaza and the people of the entire Middle East a real future and a better promise and hope. We will provide a future."

On the issue of a ceasefire, Prime Minister Netanyahu made it clear that Israel would not agree to one unless Hamas released Israeli hostages. He mentioned that following a recent attack by Hamas on Southern Israel, where they killed 1,400 people and took 240 hostages to Gaza on October 7, a ceasefire without the release of the hostages was not an option. He asserted, "There will be no ceasefire without the return of the hostages. It should be completely removed from the dictionary. We say this to our friends and to our enemies: We will continue to attack Gaza until we defeat them. We have no choice."

Netanyahu's reference to the "axis of terrorism" led by Iran includes Iran-backed groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthi rebels, who are currently involved in attacks on Israel. He highlighted the expansionist ambitions of these groups and the potential threat they pose to Europe. Netanyahu called on foreign diplomats to support Israel in putting an end to this "axis of terrorism."

In essence, Netanyahu's statements underscore the global significance of the conflict between Israel and extremist groups in the Middle East, and he emphasizes the need for international support in combating this threat.
