Honda City collides with police jeep, head constable killed

New Delhi: A high-speed Honda City vehicle in the Maurice Nagar area of the country's capital Delhi hit a jeep of the Delhi Police. The on-duty head constable suffered serious injury and died during treatment.  The condition of the driver of Honda City is also critical.

The accused has been identified as Tushar of Model Town, who was drunk at the time of the incident. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 279/337/304 (2) of IPC. It is being told that the accused belongs to a well-to-do family and is pursuing graduation in Singapore. He has been here since he reached Delhi during the lockdown.

According to the information, the incident happened between two and half past two o'clock last night. A high-speed Honda City car hit a  police jeep. Witnesses say that the collision was so severe that the jeep flew into the air and fell on the road. Due to this, the children of the vehicle flew away. Also, the policemen present in the jeep got trapped in the jeep itself. The policemen somehow called some people after which the injured were taken out and admitted to the hospital. The head constable died during treatment.
