New Ducati Multistrada V2 Launched, improved version Multistrada 950

The Ducati 2022 Multistrada V2, which is a redesigned version of the Ducati Multistrada 950 motorbike, has been unveiled. The new Ducati Multistrada V2 is aimed at consumers who want the comfort of a trail bike with the versatility of being able to ride it on a daily basis in the city.

The new Ducati Multistrada V2 is the first in a series of anticipated debuts from the Italian manufacturer. Except for the name, which now matches the other Ducati mid-size motorcycles, nothing else has altered much.

Apart from the name, the major changes include an upgraded V-Twin engine with 113 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque. It also receives improvements to the gearbox and clutch, as well as other minor modifications. Another significant difference is that the bike is now significantly lighter than the Multistrada 950. Ducati engineers have managed to shave two kilogrammes off the weight of the 937 cc Ducati Testastretta engine, resulting in a total weight reduction of five kg. With a full tank of 24 litres, the basic Multistrada V2 model now weights 221 kilogrammes. With all fluids, the Multistrada V2 S weights slightly higher at 225 kg.

The new Ducati Multistrada V2 will be available in two variants. The Ducati Multistrada V2 S is equipped with a semi-active Skyhook suspension system, a 5-inch LCD screen, up and down quick shifters, and lighted steering wheel switches.

The saddle height was reduced by 10 mm on both models, and the saddle form was narrowed. For persons of low stature, the motorbike should be more comfortable. A 790 mm saddle is also available as an alternative. The footpegs have been reduced by 10 mm for taller riders, but legroom has not changed.
