The much-awaited second-generation Jawa 42 motorcycle is set to be unveiled today, bringing with it a host of exciting updates. The new model, from Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, features a larger 334-cc engine and several enhancements, making it a strong contender in the market. This latest version of the Jawa 42 is expected to incorporate a more powerful 334-cc engine, derived from the Jawa 350 but tuned differently for this model. In addition to the engine upgrade, the motorcycle is likely to feature improvements in the chassis, offering better handling and performance. Riders can also look forward to a six-speed transmission for smoother gear transitions. The teaser image released ahead of the launch hints at some key design elements, including diamond-cut alloy wheels similar to those on the 42 Bobber model. The bike also sports the iconic 'Jawa' branding prominently displayed on the fuel tank. Safety features have not been overlooked, as the new Jawa 42 is expected to come equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for enhanced braking performance. The new model is positioned to compete directly with the Royal Enfield 350, which is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The starting price for the updated Jawa 42, which was launched earlier this month, is Rs 1,72,942 (ex-showroom). The company has also released a teaser video to build anticipation for today's launch, offering a glimpse of what enthusiasts can expect from the new Jawa 42.
