While giving information, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has said that Bhoomi Pujan of the new Parliament House is going to be done by PM Narendra Modi on December 10 at 1 pm. A new Parliament House is being constructed near the present Parliament House. The Parliament House of India built in the British era is now only going to be a history. As for this, Om Birla further said, "India's democracy and our Parliament have stood the test of time and have become stronger and stronger than ever before." He said that the new Parliament building is going to be a memorial of India's democracy which will not only be a symbol of our glorious history but also of the power, diversity and entrepreneurship of the Indians. " The Lok Sabha Speaker said, "The new Parliament House will be a temple of self-reliant India that will show the diversity of the nation. It is going to be 17,000 sqm bigger than the old Parliament House." Continuing his talk, he said that it will be worth Rs 971 crore. To be built in the area at a cost of 64,500 sqm. Tata Projects Limited has been given the contract for the construction of the new Parliament House. The Speaker said that its design has been prepared by HCP Design, Planning and Management Private Limited. Taking the matter further, Om Birla has also said that the design of the new Parliament House is being prepared by the M / s HCP Design & Management Pvt Ltd of Ahmedabad keeping in mind the needs of the next 100 years. He also said that since New Delhi and surrounding areas fall in the earthquake zone V, the new buildings are arranging adequate measures for earthquake protection as per the prescribed guidelines. He said that on the completion of 75 years of independence, we are going to start the session of both houses in the new Parliament House. In the new Parliament House, about 888 seats for Lok Sabha members and more than 326 seats for Rajya Sabha members are to be created. He further says that the Lok Sabha Hall will be able to accommodate 1224 members simultaneously. In addition to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha chambers, there is going to be a grand constitution room in the new building. In which to show India's democratic heritage, along with other items, original copy of the constitution, digital display, etc. will be seen. Visitors will be provided a facility in the Constituent Room so that they can know about the journey of India in the form of parliamentary democracy.
