New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi addressed the Gujarat Investor Summit through video conferencing on Friday. The event took place in Ahmedabad, with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari present in Ahmedabad. PM Narendra Modi also introduced the National Automobile Scraping Policy here. Prime Minister Modi said this will bring about a positive change in the country. Mobility is a big factor for the country's economy, it is very helpful in economic development. Prime Minister Modi also said that the new scraping policy will take forward the mantra of Waste to Wealth. The Prime Minister said that the next 25 years are very important for the country, we have to change according to the way technology is changing. We are also facing the challenge of climate change, so it is necessary to take big steps in our interest. PM Narendra Modi further said that a certificate will be obtained for the scraping vehicle, the registration money will be exempted on purchase of a new vehicle and there will also be an exemption on road tax. Prime Minister Modi said that trains will be scrapped after scientific testing, then further processes will take place. The same PM Narendra Modi said the auto-metal industry will get a boost from the scheme and people working in the field of scraping will benefit greatly. Prime Minister Modi said that the industry should have a roadmap for a self-reliant India for the next 25 years. Old policies have to be changed and the new policy has to be worked out. PM Narendra Modi said that whether it is ethanol, hydrogen fuel, or electric mobility, the active partner of the industry is very essential with these priorities of the government. From R&D to infrastructure, the industry has to increase its participation. The Government is ready to give whatever assistance you need for this.
