Omicron: Delhi records first case of Covid variant, What are the known symptoms

New Delhi: After the first case of the Omicron variant was discovered, there was a commotion in Delhi. The Delhi government is on high alert, including the health department. The government has said that the facilities would be expanded as needed. The infected patient, on the other hand, is said to be in good health. According to a senior doctor at the hospital, the patient's only symptoms are headache and body pain. Apart from that, he is in good health.

The patient is 33 years old, according to the hospital administration. He came all the way from Tanzania to Delhi. On December 2, the infected patient was referred from the airport to LNJP Hospital. The patient's airport report was discovered to be contaminated. The genome of the LNJB was sequenced after it arrived. On the other hand, 15 of the 17 infected patients had positive RT-PCR results, and two had rapid antigen. The genomes of all positive patients' samples are being examined. One of the 12 samples tested positive for omicron.

The LNJP Hospital, on the other hand, has a 40-bed omicron ward. Those who were contaminated with covid from the outside were placed in a different ward. The suspects are being held on a different ward. In addition, ten of the beds have an ICU that is exclusively for these patients. So far, no patient has required oxygen or ICU care.
