WTC final: New Zealand website insults skipper Virat Kohli after Team India's loss

Auckland: After New Zealand's stunning win in the final of the ICC World Test Championship recently, the media insulted Team India captain Virat Kohli in a bid to show enthusiasm. A local website posted a picture like a mim comparing Kohli to a leasehold man in a bid to be more creative.

The photo was posted by New Zealand website The AccNZ on social media platform Instagram. The picture shows a woman and a man wearing a white dress. The man has a strap tied around his neck and his rope is held by a woman. The website depicts the man in the lease as Virat Kohli and the woman as New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson. The AccNZ is a verified new zealand website that makes such a mockery of an international player because of his enthusiasm. This website mostly covers news related to cricket and other sports. It has more than 45,000 followers on Instagram.

In the WTC final, New Zealand won by 8 wickets. Kyle Jamieson was named Man of the Match for taking 7 for just 61 runs in the match. He took 5 wickets in the first innings and 2 wickets in the second innings. Batting at number 8, Jamieson also contributed 21 runs in the first innings. With this, Virat Kohli was sent to the pavilion by Jamieson in both innings during the match. Kohli was dismissed for 44 in the first innings and just 13 in the second innings. Kohli had also praised Jamieson for his performance.
