NHAI Launches 'Rajmargyatra' App for Safer, Convenient Highway Travel

NEW DELHI: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has recently introduced the 'Rajmargyatra' app, aiming to enhance user experience on highways and create a unified mobile application with a citizen-centric approach. This user-friendly app, available in both Hindi and English, can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways stated that the Rajmargyatra app will empower travelers with comprehensive information about Indian highways, offering an efficient complaint redressal mechanism for any issues they encounter during their journey.

Essential Features of the Rajmargyatra App:

One-Stop Highway Information Repository: The Rajmargyatra app serves as a convenient repository of essential information related to National Highways. Users can access real-time weather conditions, details about nearby toll plazas, petrol pumps, hospitals, hotels, and other essential services. Additionally, timely broadcast notifications keep users informed.

Efficient Complaint Redressal: The app includes an inbuilt complaint redressal and escalation mechanism, allowing users to report highway-related issues with the option to attach geo-tagged pictures and videos. Registered complaints receive prompt attention, and there are system-generated escalations to higher authorities in case of delays, ensuring complete transparency.

FASTag Services Integration: NHAI has integrated the Rajmargyatra app with various banking portals, simplifying the process of recharging FASTags, availing monthly passes, and accessing other FASTag-related services from a single platform.

Enhanced Safety Features: To promote safe driving behavior, the Rajmargyatra app notifies users about over-speeding and includes a voice-assistant feature.
