NIA issues notice to 40 including Congress leaders Sirsa and Siddhu

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned about 40 people, including United Kisan Morcha member Baldev Singh Sirsa and Punjabi actor Deep Siddhu, in the Sikh for Justice case. Sirsa and Siddhu have been summoned for questioning on Sunday. On the other hand, farmers' organisations have expressed displeasure over the sending of Notices of National Security Agency (NIA) to farmers. The farmer leaders say that they will take up the matter at the central level meeting.

Meanwhile, the United Kisan Morcha member Baldev Singh Sirsa has said that the central government has issued notices under UAPA to harass them and farmers who are serving in the farmers' struggle. The notices sent to them by the National Security Agency (NIA) have been instructed to appear before the office on January 17.

He has sent a reply to NIA that he cannot go to his side before the 8th of February. Sirsa says, the matter will be taken up at the 19th January meeting held between the central government and the farmers.  The Indian Farmers Union (Bhakiu) Khas leader Harmeet Singh Khas has also been summoned.
