Night curfew drawn in Himachal Pradesh, decision taken in view of declining corona cases

Shimla: The Jairam Thakur government in Himachal Pradesh has decided to lift the night curfew after new cases of Coronavirus infection dropped. The number of active coronavirus cases in the state had come down to 4,812 on February 8. On February 1, the figure was 9,672.

An official spokesperson informed the media in this regard that the decision to lift the night curfew has been taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by state CM Jairam Thakur on Wednesday. The state government had imposed a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am on January 5 this year. However, after January 31, the night curfew was revised and it was reduced from 10 pm to 6 am.  

The official further said that there was some ban on the gatherings. He said all social, religious, cultural, political and other gatherings, including weddings, will be allowed with 50 per cent capacity.
