NIRF Rankings 2023: IIT Madras tops overall

The official release of the NIRF Rankings 2023 was announced on Monday by Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore achieved the highest ranking in the NIRF Rankings 2023's research category. The top engineering school is IIT Madras, followed by IIT Delhi in second, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Roorkee in third.

With a majority of the top 10 spots taken up by IITs, the engineering category of the NIRF Rankings 2023 has continued to be dominated by IITs.

On nirfindia.org, you can now view the NIRF Rankings 2023. The rankings are determined by a number of factors, including perception, outreach and diversity, research and professional practise, graduation results, and teaching learning and resources.

The Indian Agriculture Research Institute, based in New Delhi, won first place in the NIRF Rankings' category for "Agriculture and Allied Sector." The Punjab Agriculture University in Ludhiana took the third spot, while the National Dairy Institute in Karnal took the second spot.

Teaching, learning, and resources, research, professional practise, graduation rates, outreach, inclusion, and perception are the criteria used to rank institutes.

The National Law University, Bengaluru, holds the top spot on the ranking for legal education. The National Law University, Delhi, which has gained the second spot, comes closely behind. NALSAR University of Law, which is based in Hyderabad, comes in third.
