Kochi: On Tuesday Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the injured Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor at a hospital in Kerala, where the latter was admitted following an injury. Tharoor had suffered head injuries while performing 'thulabharam' ritual at a temple in the state on the occasion of Vishu on Monday. Tharoor, who is aiming for a hat-trick from Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency, took to Twitter and said he is touched by Sitharaman's gesture and said that civility is a rare virtue in Indian politics. Reports inform that he also suffered a minor leg injury after the hook of the weighing scale came off and hit his head. According to reports, the Congress leader performed the ritual at a Devi temple before embarking on his poll campaign.
