Nirmala Sitharaman speaks up on Sunjuwan attack

 

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, chided Pakistan on Monday and confirmed the Indian retaliation for the unfortunate killings of Indian troops in Sunjuwan terror attack. She told that the terrorists belonged to terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad and were from Pakistan. She also spoke about locals aiding the terrorists.

Nirmala Sitharaman said, “Pakistan will have to pay for this misadventure.” She was speaking at a press conference followed by a meeting with the Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti.  She accused Pakistan of violating the ceasefire to send terrorists across the border. She said, “Pakistan was expanding the arc of terror beyond the Pir Panjal range and resorting to ceasefire violations to abet infiltration of terrorists into the Indian side of the border.”

She informed that a counter-terrorism plan has already been put into action. She also visited the people injured in the attack.

“Giving the evidences to Pakistan will be a continuous process. It will have to be proved over and over again that they are responsible. Pakistan will have to pay for this misadventure” she added.

An Indian Army camp was attacked by terrorists on Saturday which claimed lives of five army personnel and one civilian and left 10 injured. A follow-up strike by the Indian Army eliminated the terrorists who were hiding in the camp which ended today, three days after the attack.
