Nitin Gadkari says Policy To Scrap 15-Year-Old Vehicles

A policy is going to be implemented soon in India, in which the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the destruction of vehicles older than 15 years. Its purpose is to control the rapidly growing pollution in the country. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road and Transport of India, said that "We have prepared a complete policy to destroy such vehicles which has been done with the Policy Commission." Even vehicles that are 15 years of age or older will be destroyed.

Gadkari said that India has become the hub of the automobile industry and in order to greatly reduce the prices of vehicles, such vehicles will be re-used and its scraps will be used again. Nitin Gadkari said, "Raw material for vehicles will be available at a cheap price.

In the production of vehicles, plastic, rubber, aluminum and copper from the scrap vehicles will be used." Earlier, the Ministry of Road and Transportation To create an eco system, a concept note was sent to the Voluntary Vehicle Fleet Modernization Program. In this, a committee of secretaries has been asked to create eco systems to replace voluntary scrapping and pollution-oriented vehicles. Under this policy, there has been a proposal to remove approximately one crore-decade old nearly 20 million vehicles in India.
