New Delhi: Union minister Nitin Gadkari has once again raked up the Indus Water Treaty issue and said that India will have no option but to stop river water to the neighboring country if terrorism is not stopped. Gadkari said that water is going to Pakistan from three rivers and added that the basis of water treaty between both the countries was peaceful relations and friendship which have completely vanished which is why India is not bound to follow this treaty. also read: Tej Pratap Yadav tweets emotional post for Tejashwi Yadav Minister for Water Resources, Nitin Gadkari said, "Water is going to Pakistan from 3 rivers, we don't want to stop that. "Our government has decided to stop our share of water which used to flow to Pakistan. We will divert water from eastern rivers and supply it to our people in Jammu and Kashmir, and Punjab," ANI quoted Gadkari as saying. This is not the first time that Gadkari has raised the Indus water treaty. In February, the union minister had said that the treaty was based on "mutual love, harmony, and cordial relations" and added that it was pointless to continue with it as Pakistan did nothing to stop cross-border terrorism and providing support to terror outfits. He had said that India has decided to stop the flow of river water to Pakistan under the treaty. The treaty, which was brokered by the World Bank, was signed on September 19, 1960, by the PM Jawaharlal Nehru and Pakistani PM Ayub Khan. also read: 'Feels bad' when people say ‘won’t vote for lotus’: Maneka Gandhi
