Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has submitted his resignation to the Governor. After breaking away from the NDA, Nitish Kumar decided to form a government with the Grand Alliance and after this decision, he reached Raj Bhavan to resign to the Governor. Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister and also handed over the letter of support of the MLAs to the Governor. Earlier on Tuesday, after the support to Nitish Kumar in the meeting of the Grand Alliance, it was being speculated that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would break away from the NDA. After a meeting of party MLAs and MPs, the JDU decided to break away from the NDA, although it is yet to be formally announced. After this incident, Nitish Kumar came to governor Phagu Chauhan to resign. It was told that Nitish Kumar could submit his resignation to the Governor at any time, but eventually, the Governor gave him time to meet at around 4 pm. Nitish Kumar came to Raj Bhavan alone to resign. With his resignation, the way for the formation of a new government in Bihar has also been cleared. According to the new equation of power in Bihar, the parties of JDU, RJD, Congress and Left will form the government together. According to the information, Nitish Kumar will go to Raj Bhavan with the letter of support of 160 MLAs (RJD-79, JDU-45, Congress-19, Left-16 and Independent-1).
