TDP leaders slammed the BJP and accused the Modi-led government of resorting to political attack instead of functioning. Various other opposition leaders also hit out at his address in the discussion before the vote was taken. After the BJP won the no-confidence motion in a melodramatic parliament monsoon session on Friday, various voted in favor of the Modi-led government. After the 11-hour debate, political leaders from various parties criticized the Centre. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor unnoticed the loss of the opposition saying that the main destination was achieved as BJP's 'failures were put before the countrymen'. “Basic message is that the journey is more important than the destination. Failures of the BJP govt were put before the nation. The outcome was predictable but the process was successful,” Tharoor was quoted as asserting by news agency ANI. TDP chief and Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu also lashed out at PM Modi's speech and said “As part of our continuous fight, we introduced this no-confidence motion. In the last four years, I went to Delhi 29 times. Instead of doing justice to AP, he is resorting political attack on me alleging I took U-turn,” he was quoted by ANI as saying. AP CM also expressed dissatisfaction at the fact that he called them ' egoistic'. “All the people should show their protest again. All people should unite in raising voice against the Centre. Those parties supporting BJP also should be taught a lesson,”Naidu said further adding that Centre is 'showing negligence' as they don't have the numbers.
