New Delhi: A Delhi-based girl on Wednesday evening set herself on fire by sprinkling diesel on herself due to mental stress at a park in front of Supertech Society in Noida Sector-93 adjoining the national capital. The police somehow doused the fire and admitted her to the hospital in a critical condition. Where the doctors declared her dead. A suicide note has been recovered from the girl's possession by the police in which she has blamed herself for the suicide. ADCP Elamaran of Noida Central Zone said that the 25-year-old girl, originally from East of Kailash Delhi, had come to Noida on Wednesday for some work. She reached the City Park in Sector-93A at around 4:15 pm. She brought diesel with her in a bottle. In the park, the young woman sprinkled diesel on herself and set herself on fire. After the fire broke out, the girl screamed, then hearing the noise, the passersby tried to douse the fire and immediately reported the incident to the police. Phase-II police arrived at the spot. Police managed to control the fire with the help of people at the spot, but by then the young woman was very charred. The police immediately admitted her to a nearby hospital. Where the doctors declared her dead. The police team found two litres of empty bottles of diesel, a purse, a mobile phone, and a suicide note from the spot. The ADCP says that the girl's parents have been informed about the incident. They have not yet come to Noida.
