Now cracks seen in these places after Joshimath, stir due to land subsidence

Dehradun: After land subsidence and cracks in the walls of houses in Joshimath, Uttarakhand, now cracks have been seen on the Joshimath-Badrinath highway. These cracks have been seen at 5 places on the highway. Border Road Organization (BRO) has issued its information after new cracks were seen. The BRO team has done regular maintenance at the places with cracks.   Several cases of land cracking have come to the fore in different areas of Uttarakhand including Joshimath. It started from Joshimath, later, such incidents were also seen in Karnprayag. Recently, cracks were also seen in the upper parts of Bahuguna Nagar and Sabzi Mandi of the ITI area located near Badrinath Highway. Thereafter, a team arrived for inspection, which found huge cracks in 25 houses. Out of these, 8 houses were declared extremely dangerous, in which the people living in the houses were evacuated.

Recently, cracks were also seen in many houses in Maroda village of Karnprayag. There were cracks in the houses as if lightning had struck the wall. Let us inform you that recently cracks were also seen in the houses located in Ramban and Doda of Jammu and Kashmir. After the incidents of cracking of land came to the fore, the government brought a settlement plan for the homeless people. Under this, 3 options were suggested to the people. It was also told in the plan that in order to adopt any option and take advantage of the government scheme, people will have to register their house in the name of the government.
