New Delhi: The Narendra Modi-led central government has made preparations for major changes regarding the reforms in the country's army. It is being told that the central government may announce the 'Agnipath Recruitment Scheme' next week. Earlier it was being said that the announcement of this scheme can be done today. Earlier, the Chiefs of the three services i.e. Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pandey, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar had also given a presentation to PM Modi last week about this plan. Under this scheme, youth in the army will be able to be admitted for a short time. This scheme has been named as Agneepath scheme. Under this, youth can join the army for four years and will be able to serve the country. This is the dream project of PM Narendra Modi, through which efforts will be made to reduce the average age of the soldiers joining the army and the expenditure of the defense forces will also be reduced. It is being told that under the scheme, youth (Agniveer) will be recruited in the army for four years. However, after four years most of the jawans will be released from their service. The army will also play an active role in getting the youths who will be released from army jobs after a gap of four years, to get them jobs elsewhere. It is being argued that if a person serves in the army for four years, his profile will become stronger and every company will show interest in hiring such youth.
