New Delhi, March 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that his “Vocal for Local” campaign is showing great results, as Indian products are now reaching global markets and gaining recognition worldwide.
Speaking at the NXT Conclave 2025, where the ‘NewsX World’ channel was launched, Modi said that for years, India was seen as the world's back office. But now, the country is becoming a global manufacturing hub.
He said that India is no longer just a workforce, it is now a WORLD FORCE. The country is making strides in manufacturing, from semiconductors to aircraft carriers. Traditional Indian products like makhana (fox nuts), millets, Ayush healthcare products, and yoga are gaining popularity globally.
India is also becoming a leading automobile manufacturer, and its defense exports are rising. Modi said that India should be presented to the world as it truly is, without any external influence. He stressed that real stories about India’s achievements should reach the global audience.
He also highlighted that the BJP-led NDA government winning a third term shows the people's strong trust. He expressed hope that the newly launched global news channel would help share India’s success stories worldwide.
Modi pointed out that India is now leading many international initiatives, including co-hosting the recent AI summit and holding the G20 presidency. He also mentioned how the Maha Kumbh festival reflects India's organizing skills and innovation.
Referring to reforms, Modi said his government has scrapped many outdated laws, including an old British-era rule that criminalized group dancing of 10 or more people. He criticized certain elite groups, saying they challenge laws in court over small issues but remained silent about such outdated laws that restricted freedom.
