It’s the smile on the face of the poor that gives me pleasure.” He praised the work of the Mission Shakti mothers during the coronavirus-induced lockdown and the farmers who continued to farm without fear of coronavirus during the lockdown. “The country’s economy is alive today because of the hard work of the farmers. Therefore, I thank the women and farmers,” said the Chief Minister. “This year marks the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s arrival in Odisha. Gandhi first visited Odisha on March 23, 1921.
