Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has showed his concern and wished West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee a speedy recovery. The West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee who has been hospitalized after sustaining leg injuries during her campaign in East Midnapore’s Nandigram. Mamata sustained the injuries in an alleged attack during the campaign on Wednesday. She was scheduled to return to Kolkata on Thursday but was immediately rushed back to the state capital. Taking to Twitter on Thursday, CM Patnaik said, “Concerned to know about the hospitalization of West Bengal Chief Minister @MamataOfficial. Wishing her speedy recovery and praying for good health.” After reaching Kolkata, she was admitted to SSKM Hospital. Initial reports suggested that she has severe bony injuries in her left ankle, foot and bruises, injuries in right shoulder, forearm and neck. The Trinamool supremo had been contesting polls from her home seat Bhawanipore constituency, but this time chose Nandigram, a stronghold of Trinamool turn-coat Suvendu Adhikari who joined the BJP last year.
