Odisha CM to visit Bangalore to woo investors

BHUBANESWAR: In a bid to attract investors ahead of the third edition of the Make in Odisha summit, which will be hosted here from November 30 to December 4, the state Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is on a three-day official visit to Bangalore city starting on Tuesday.

According to Odisha Companies Minister Pratap Keshari Deb on Tuesday, the Chief Minister would hold one-on-one meetings with investors from the IT sector, pharmaceutical industries, and other industrialists in Bangalore on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m.

He also disclosed that a massive road show for investors would be held on Wednesday night to highlight the investment potential and conducive business environment in Odisha.

He said, the state is anticipating investments in information technology (IT), ITeS, ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing), textiles and apparel, food processing, e-vehicles, autos and auto components, and aerospace and defence.

In contrast to the previous two conclaves, the Minister hoped that a significant amount of investment will flow to Odisha this year.

The Chief Minister had previously attended investor meetings in Dubai, New Delhi, and Mumbai.
