Moscow: A 40-second excerpt from an older interview featuring Yevgeny Prigozhin, a notable figure in the realm of Russian mercenaries, triggered a wave of speculative discussions online following reports about his alleged demise.
The Russian aviation authority disclosed that Prigozhin, who headed the Wagner group, was aboard a private jet that crashed northwest of Moscow, resulting in no survivors. This incident occurred exactly two months after his involvement in a failed mutiny against high-ranking military officials.
The Kremlin vehemently denied assertions from Western sources that his demise was orchestrated by its orders, dismissing such claims as baseless falsehoods.
