National Panchayati Raj Day: PM Modi to honor Surpanchs in Mandala on April 24

 

BHOPAL: PM Narendra Modi is set to visit the state Madhya Pradesh tomorrow. According to reports, Modi will address a national convention of panchayat members in Mandla district on April 24. Prime Minister Modi had arrived at the birthplace of Baba Saheb last year and announced major sops for Dalit and poor community while recently President Kovind  had arrived in Mhow near Indore on April 14 to pay tributes to Babasaheb Ambedkar.Kovind would be the first President to visit the Baba Saheb memorial.

However an official announcement is awaited. For PM Modi’s visit BJP has made elaborate arrangements, said sources.

PM Modi's visit to Mandla would coincide with Panchayati Raj day on April 24. A day before, the state government has organized a national convention for panchayat members in Jabalpur, where discussion would be conducted on issues related to Panchayati Raj institution. On April 24 PM is expected to visit a village in Mandla for a meeting.

During his day-long visit, PM Modi will inaugurate a programme on National Panchayati Raj Day and address a rally on Adivasi Diwas.

1- Narendra Modi will announce several schemes under 'Tribal Development Five Year Plan'

2- Modi will also make land for the IOC's LPG bottling plant at Mandi Industrial Area at a cost of Rs 120 crore.

3- PM Modi will also honor 2 sarpanchs. In this event, the Sarpanch will be rewarded for making Smokey Panchayat for the Lingmal Gram Panchayat of Mandla district and 100% vaccination in Pakharia Gram Panchayat of Shahdol.

4- In the 8 districts of MP where the counting of districts held in the form of backward districts PM Modi will also held talks with collectors of the same districts.
