Gurugram: On Tuesday, a man was allegedly robbed by four people in Gurugram on pretext of giving a lift. The victim was allegedly robbed and assaulted by four men. The incident happened in Shankar Chowk. The four accused allegedly offered a shared car ride to the victim and robbed him. The incident allegedly happened on Tuesday around 7.30 pm. The victim was waiting at Subhash Chowk for a lift when the accused stopped, offering him the same. The victim wanted a lift to go to his rented house near Jharsa Chowk. When the car reached IFFCO Chowk, the victim was asked to surrender all his belongings. In response to this, the victim made an effort to escape but was punched and even bit by the accused following this, the accused hit him in the eye. The accused allegedly told the victim that he needed to give them Rs 25,000 if wanted to be set free. After the victim told them that he did not have enough money in his bank account, the accused forced him into asking his brother to transfer Rs 10,000 to his account. The accused even took the victim's ATM card and bought beers with the same. The accused also reiterated that they would not have attacked the victim if he had not done the same. The victim was allegedly dropped near Sikri village and was even give Rs 100 to reach home. The police filed an FIR against the accused under section 379A of the Indian Penal Code for snatching.
