This cricketer played ODI's longest innings

You must have heard the name of Pakistan's star batsman Saeed Anwar. This strong batsman of superb timing and offside was the master of big shots without much effort. Saeed Anwar Navar played big innings for Pakistan as a salute batsman. On this day, Saeed Anwar had made the biggest record in ODI cricket, which took Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar (13 years) to break even. The date was 21 May 1997. Pakistan's team landed in a day-night match against India at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. In this match, Anwar (Saeed Anwar) scored 194 runs in 146 balls with the help of 22 fours and 5 sixes. This was the biggest personal score in the history of ODI cricket at that time.

Before this, West Indies great batsman Sir Viv Richards scored 189 runs in 170 balls against England in Manchester. Which was the best ODI record till then. In 1996, South Africa batsman Gary Kirsten also played 188 runs off 159 balls against Pakistan. Saeed Anwar's record topped the pages of ODI history for the next 13 years.

It is not possible to score a double century in ODI cricket. Many players reached near 200 runs but they could not touch this figure. Sachin Tendulkar broke Saeed Anwar's best record of 194 runs in 2010. Sachin played an unbeaten 200 off 156 balls in Gwalior during the match against South Africa. After Sachin, now Rohit Sharma has scored a double century in ODIs three times. Virender Sehwag, Martin Guptill, Chris Gayle, Fakhar Zaman also have a double century each.
