Man arrested with fake Indian currency by the Gauripur Police in Dhubri district

On Saturday, Gauripur Police of the Dhubri district detained a man named Fazlul Haque, 39, in the Beparipatty area of Gauripur town, based on specific information. Haque, a resident of Tiamari Part II under the Gauripur Authorities Station, was reportedly involved in the fake money scam for a long time, and police discovered Rs 4,650 in fake Indian currency in his hands after a thorough investigation.

According to a police source, during preliminary interrogation, Haque stated that he and his accomplices have been involved in the smuggling of FICN and cattle in the bordering areas for a long time. Sources said his ties to livestock smuggling are being examined. A case was registered in Gouripur Police Station Case No. 33/2022 U/S 489(A),489(B),489(C) IPC.
