Naxalites blast IED in Chhattisgarh, a young martyr

Dantewada: A jawan has been killed by a pressure bomb planted by Maoists in the village of Pahurnar under the Geedam police station area of the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. According to police sources, the soldiers were engaged in the security of the bridge being built on the Indravati river. Laxmikant Dwivedi, CAF 22nd Battalion's jawan, has received Veeragati yesterday, caught in the grip of pressure IED imposed by the Naxalites. The search operation has been intensified in the area after the incident.

For the last three years, a bridge is being constructed on the Chindanar Pahurnar Ghat on the Indravati River. The CAF 22nd Battalion has also been deployed for its security. Like every day, yesterday, the soldiers were engaged in construction work. Soldiers were deployed around the bridge. Along with this, the place where the mud bridge was being brought by vehicles. Troops were also deployed there.

In order to prevent damage to Naxalite vehicles, the soldiers were continuously conducting search operations in this area. The soldiers posted in Pahurnar started having lunch yesterday and resorted to trees for rest, the martyred jawan went to rest under a mango tree, but the Naxalites had already set up an IED plant here. As soon as the jawan's leg was on the IED, a tremendous blast occurred, in which the jawan was killed on the spot.
