Kathmandu: In view of rising coronavirus cases in Nepal, the nationwide lockdown issued on Sunday evening has been extended for a week. The number of coronavirus infected patients in Nepal has increased to five. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held at Baluvatar, the residence of PM KP Sharma Oli in the capital Kathmandu. Earlier last week, the government implemented a lockdown in the country, which was going to end on the 31st of this month. A high-level government coordination committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Prakash on Sunday afternoon had recommended the extension of the lockdown to the administration led by PM Oli.
