Online Nations Cup: Viswanathan Anand rested as India lose to China

India were defeated by top-seeded and title contender China 2.5.1.5 in the ninth round of FIDEChess.com's Online Nations Cup. Former world champion Vishwanathan Anand was rested in this match.

According to reports, Yu Yangyi of China defeated B Adhiban, while Vid Gujrati was held to a draw by Wang Hao. Grandmaster P Harikrishna played with black pieces to draw from Wei Yi while D Harika's draw was from Hou Yifan.

For information, let us tell you that China has made a place in the 'Super Final' on Sunday, which has 24 points. Europe is in second place which will have to defeat the rest of the world to reach the finals. India is in fifth position with 16 board points.
