'Open Destinations' firm, launches 'Computer Literacy Programme'

Travel technology firm open Destination has launched a continuous ‘Computer literacy programme for underprivileged children in the local Goan Community,in Collaboration with non Profit NGO Lifeline Foundation ,Which has been working in the field of Health and Education for the underprivileged for the last 18 years.

The programme is also likely to help many people above the age of 55 years, who have retired but are still capable and willing to work in obtaining jobs that could keep them gainfully engaged, active and healthy.

It also seeks to bridge the ever-widening generation gap and connecting people from various age groups online.

"This will increase social interactions of older persons and keep them active, healthy and happier in the long run," organizers say.

“We hope to inspire technology career aspirations for the youth in our area, “says Open Destinations’ vice president, operations, Beheram Cooper.

“Our staff has enjoyed hosting the children at our office and helping them to understand the impact of technology in the modern day”
